KNEC announces training opportunities for KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary education) examiners.

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), on Monday, March 6, unveiled a training schedule for Kenya Certificate of Secondary education (KCSE) examiners.

The training will take place between Monday, April 24, and Friday, April 28, 2023, according to a notice from Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Njeng’ere of KNEC.

The Examination Council also revealed that the training exercise this year will be entirely residential.

“The venue for the training will be communicated to the qualified applicants at a later date,” the notice read.

“The training fee is Ksh10,500 and will only be paid by the shortlisted applicants, who will be notified through a text message (SMS) on how to make the payment,” the notice read in part.

KNEC further indicated that all the successful trainees will be incorporated into the KNEC examiners’ database and engaged by the agency through its criteria for recruiting examiners based on each paper’s personnel needs.
