Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) on Thursday, April 25, announced that students seeking admission for tertiary courses had 10 hours to apply.
KUCCPS announced that at the end of the day, the government body would close its application portal.
This will affect students who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) between 2000 and 2023.
“Applicants who received notifications that they did not secure any of the courses they selected previously should log in to students.kuccps.net and choose available courses as listed on the portal,” KUCCPS announced.
Students who had earlier made the selection were told not to reapply.
Students who scored D+ and above will have a chance to apply for various diploma and certificate programs offered by approved colleges, polytechnics, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
Only students who scored a C+ and above are eligible to apply for degree courses.

While applying for a second revision, KUCCPS directs that you need your full KCSE Index Number which should be typed in the slot provided on the Login page without the slash (/).
Students are further advised to use their KCPE Index Number or Birth Certificate Number as their password.
“If a course is not listed on the portal, the course is not available currently for application,” KUCCPS stated noting that it had been filled up during the previous applications.
KUCCPS also offers limited Artisan Certificate Programmes for students who did not manage to score a D+ in their KCSE exam.
Students who were successful in landing courses of their choice during the first revision can confirm by logging into the portal.
