At the same time, KUCCPS refuted claims of a systems failure in its operations, maintaining that ongoing university applications for universities were progressing smoothly.

Addressing the media during a monitoring visit to Nyamache Sub-county, KUCCPS Director for Placement and Career Development, John Oluoch, dismissed concerns about the alleged technical issues. He affirmed that the process is still active and will continue until April 30, 2025, targeting over 246,000 students eligible for placement into universities, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and other post-secondary institutions.

He noted that the agency had strategically deployed staff countrywide to assist applicants and ensure that no eligible student is left behind.

Even so, KUCCPS urged candidates who qualified to join university to submit their applications before the deadline.

This comes after Ministry of Education officials expressed concern that more than half of the students who scored Grade C+ and above had yet to submit their applications.
