Latest Arsenal transfer on Lucas Paqueta amid N’Golo Kante links
Latest Arsenal transfer on Lucas Paqueta amid N’Golo Kante links as they continue to exploit midfield options.
With the £34 million acquisition of Fabio Vieira from Porto last month, the Gunners have already improved Mikel Arteta’s midfield options.
However, Arsenal are reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield further.
Arteta’s side is also interested in signing Paqueta, and Edu has informed the midfielder’s representation that they want to make a formal offer before the transfer window closes, according to Goal Brazil.
The Brazil international was one of Lyon’s star performers last season with nine goals and six assists in Ligue 1.
The report claims that Lyon are holding out for a €80 million (£67.6m) and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Paqueta’s situation.
Speaking at the weekend, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that Paqueta has already attracted interest this summer.
‘There are proposals for him,’ said Aulas.
‘There are certain players who can feel complete in the project, and others who don’t.

Meanwhile, a bid for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante is also being considered
The France international has a year left on his current Chelsea contract.
Todo Fichajes claim the Gunners are ready to lodge a £17m offer for the Frenchman.
While the Blues would prefer to keep Kante, at 31 years of age he isn’t considered a priority for a new deal – and that could tempt them to cash in.
Arsenal have also been linked with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and recent reports claim that he will move to the Emirates Stadium if the Emirates club decides to agree on a transfer fee.
