Liverpool attracting potential buyers after FSG put up the club for sale
Liverpool attracting potential buyers; Dubai investors after FSG announcement putting up the club for sale.
After 12 years of ownership and tremendous on-field success in recent years, Fenway Sports Group is considering selling Liverpool.
The club is reportedly attracting interest from investors in Dubai, who have also tried to purchase the club before.
Following a failed attempt in 2007, businessmen in Dubai are reportedly considering purchasing Liverpool once more, according to Arabian Business.
When FSG acquired control of Liverpool in 2010, the club has enjoyed tremendous success, especially since Jurgen Klopp was appointed manager for the 2015–16 campaign.
Signings such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, and others have made a huge difference for LFC, meaning the club ended their 30-year league title drought by finishing as Premier League champions in the 2019/20 season, following success in the Champions League the year before that.
Meanwhile, it will be intriguing to see how far the club can go if wealthy new backers come in next and perhaps take them closer to the kind of resources their rivals Manchester City have been able to enjoy.
