On Thursday, April 20, Field Marshal Muthomi Kirima paid a visit to former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta to congratulate her on repaying her Ksh4.7 million bank loan.

Speaking on her behalf, former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Agnes Kagure disclosed that Mama Ngina also acquired a three-bedroom home for the Mau Mau veteran.

“Kirima and her family wanted to thank Mama Ngina for heeding to their plea for help. The former First Lady cleared off a pending bank loan and bought the house,” Kagure stated.

Field Marshal Muthoni Wa Kirima presented Kenya’s First Lady with her trimmed dreadlocks, defending the matriarch from allegations that she coerced her to trim her hair.

Other gifts included four goats, two mature and two young, a portrait painting, traditional trays, and fresh farm produce.

“It was upon my request to shave them to symbolize my return to society after years of fighting in the forest,” she stated.

In addition, she requested that the dreadlocks be preserved in the museums to preserve Kenya’s history for future generations.

On her part, Mama Ngina expressed gratitude to Kirima for her appreciation and her contribution to the country.

She further called on Kenyans not to take the country for granted and asked the current leadership to ensure peace and stability.

In a subtle attack on DP Gachagua, Mama Ngina added that Kirima was a real hero, unlike some leaders who went around the country claiming they were or related to freedom fighters.

In past rallies, Gachagua claimed that he was a son of a Mau Mau veteran, arguing that he won’t be bullied into giving in to opposition demands.

He further criticized former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, who has repeatedly reiterated that he fought for Kenya’s democracy and second liberation.
