Police in Kisii arrest man who killed brother’s wife and her two kids after disagreement.

A 27-year-old man who is believed to have hacked to death his brother’s wife and kids on Tuesday at Mesaria village in Kisii County has been arrested.

Alex Ayata Migosi who ran into hiding after the alleged homicide was nabbed last night, hours after the incident within the Kegogi location in the Marani sub-county, Kisii.

The suspect is said to have been heard arguing with his brother Patrick Omuga before he proceeded to hack his 27-year-old wife and children aged 4 and 3 years to death.

The cause of their argument is yet to be established.

According to a report by the DCI, the area security forces were mobilised and immediately launched a manhunt for the man.

“In an abominable resolve to settle scores, Ayata sneaked into the brother’s house wielding a machete, cold-bloodedly slaying the helpless trio to the horror and condemnation of the neighborhood,” DCI said in a statement.

“The area security forces were mobilized to have the malefactor cornered before he could leave the region, efforts that bore fruits last night.”

The DCI said the suspect is being processed for arraignment.

After committing the heinous act, the suspect ran into hiding without notice, prompting the area police officers to hunt him down.

Meanwhile, the deceased bodies were taken to the Kisii Referral Hospital mortuary, with the suspect placed under police custody awaiting arraignment in court.
