A man jumps from the 4th floor of a residential apartment in Kahawa Wendani to death while attempting to escape after being caught with a pair of stolen shoes

A man jumps from the 4th floor of a residential apartment in Kahawa Wendani to death while attempting to escape after being caught with a pair of stolen shoes.

According to residents who recounted on the incident, the man broke his legs in the process and also sustained injuries to the head.

This forced well-wishers who had thronged the scene to reach out to the local police to take him to the hospital.

“We tried our best with the help of Wendani police officers to help him get to hospital on time. We found an ID and we are sharing this to help his family find him,” a resident said.

The incident is reported to have occurred around the Matopeni area in the morning hours of Saturday, November 25.

The man was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital owing to his injuries. 

However, the man is said to have died while receiving treatment.

His body was moved to the morgue as efforts were launched to trace his family.
