Manchester City have already wrapped up deals for Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, but their transfer plans aren’t done yet with an £80million double-deal lined up.

Guardiola will be welcoming two new faces with the club still planning on signing both Kalvin Phillips and Marc Cucurella, according to reports.

City are known for strengthening every season, and with their mega-rich owners, they certainly have the means to do so.

Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed that there will be a “couple more” signings this summer.

The club is believed to be preparing bids for Phillips and Raphinha and Leeds could demand £50m for the midfielder.

City have been linked with a move for Brighton full-back Cucurella, who has really caught the eye since signing last summer.

The Spaniard has already established himself as one of Brighton’s best players, as they achieved their highest ever Premier League finishes.

And City are rumoured to be testing the waters with a £30m bid, with Oleksandr Zinchenko linked with a move away.

Chairman promises more summer signings

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has hinted that the club’s summer additions of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez will be followed by a ‘few more’ during the transfer window.

However, Al Mubarak claims that more fresh acquisitions are on the way, with City determined to win the Champions League for the first time next season and certainly leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of that ambition.

‘I can confirm that there will be more players coming in,’ the chairman told the club’s official website.

‘We are looking to strengthen the team in the areas that we need strengthening, and every season some players leave and we have to continually refresh the team.

‘I think we’ve made two very important additions already but I anticipate we will be doing a couple more.’

‘We have, in Haaland, arguably the best number nine in the world at the right age,’ he said.

‘When you look at the next 10-15 years we have invested, in Haaland, in that striker for the future.

‘He is a very, very unique, incredibly talented striker that I think the whole world has been looking at. I would say every big team in the world wanted Haaland to join and we are absolutely delighted Haaland chose to join Manchester City.

‘For us, it’s a superb decision. We are getting, truly, a phenomenal player. He will fit very nicely with the group.’
