There was drama at the Milimani Law Courts after a man disrupted court proceedings regarding the missing Ndiangui Kinyagia.

In the events that were captured during the live proceedings on Tuesday, July 1, the lawyer representing the National Police Service (NPS) had informed the judge that the police did not have Kinyagia in their custody.

Displeased with the response from the police, the man rose up and shouted ‘stop lying’.

According to the man, the police were lying to the court and claimed that the police knew the whereabouts of the Kinyagia.

Police officers and other lawyers were forced to intervene and calm the man down to allow for the proceedings to continue.

“We will not come here to listen to your stories. You have abducted someone, and the family is crying, and you are here telling us stories. Enough is enough,” he objected.

“What are we supposed to do if the people who are supposed to protect us have turned out to be the greatest threat to our security?”

Police are seeking to interrogate over a social media post that detailed a timetable for the June 25 protests.

“Ndiagui Kinyagia was a person of interest to us after publishing inflammatory content on social media.

“Our primary investigations established that the social media account belonged to Ndiagui. We profiled him, we identified his residence, and our officers conducted a search at his apartment in Kinoo,” Amin announced on Monday.
