A 33-year-old man hacked to death in Ainamoi Sub-county, Kericho County by known assailants over unknown reasons.
According to reports the man identified as Cosmas Langat was in the company of his friend last night when known people who were believed to have been laying ambush for him emerged from the darkness, caught and dragged him to an unknown destination.
Tendwet Sub-location Assistant Chief Moses Langat confirmed the incident saying the man identified as Cosmas Langat was hacked to death.
He said the friend managed to free himself from the assailants ran up to the deceased’s home and reported the matter to his wife.

The administrator revealed that the wife informed him about the incident after the husband failed to return home
Langat said later, the man was found dead with deep cuts in various parts of his body which were suspected to have been inflicted by the assailants.
He said the deceased had escaped another murder incident last year when unknown assailants burnt his house but luckily he escaped unhurt but his wife sustained minor burns.
The body of the deceased was moved the body to the Kericho Referral Hospital mortuary as the police launched a manhunt for the assailants.
