Man kills girlfriend, hires tuk-tuk to transport her body to clinic
A tragic incident has rocked Nyandarua County, where 24-year-old Angela Muthoni was reportedly murdered by her boyfriend at 64 Estate in Ol’ Joro Orok Constituency.
It is alleged that Muthoni’s boyfriend, Alex Ndung’u, now arrested together with four other suspects who helped him carry the body, is the prime suspect behind the heinous act that occurred on Wednesday night.
He is reported to have hired a tuk-tuk to transport her lifeless body to a nearby clinic. Medical personnel there referred them to the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital, where it was confirmed that Muthoni had already been dead for hours.
According to family members from Endarasha village in Nyeri County, they were informed of Muthoni’s death through a phone call.
Her aunt, Jane Maina, stated that police officers based at Ol’ Joro Orok Police Station advised them to conduct a postmortem. The report revealed that Muthoni died as a result of strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head.

Her grieving mother, Beatrice Njoki, expressed deep sorrow and called for justice, describing her daughter as a vibrant and promising young woman whose life was cut short too soon.
Jane Maina further urged the government to take strong action against rising cases of femicide in Kenya. She also called on women representatives to lead awareness campaigns highlighting the dangers of intimate partner violence.
Kenya has witnessed a disturbing surge in femicide cases in recent years. Many young women have lost their lives at the hands of intimate partners or spouses, often after unresolved disputes. These acts of gender-based violence continue to devastate families and communities.
