Man Poisons His Three-Year-Old Daughter in Lodging; Kirinyaga County Before Committing Suicide.
Police are investigating an incident in which a man poisoned his daughter before committing suicide in Piai village, Kirinyaga county.
The dad took his three-year-old daughter out for the day to a in a locoal pub, where he ordered food for her that he subsequently laced with poison.
According to police investigations, the man allegedly rented a room, drove his daughter there, and served the poisoned food to her.
The man proceeded to the facility’s alcoholic and beverage section where he consumed a few drinks before allegedly hanging himself.
Workers discovered his body in the same room where they located the girl’s body.

Preliminary investigations pointed to a little bottle found in the room, whose contents may have been used to kill the girl, according to Area Police Chief Daniel Kitavi.
Mr Kitavi did not name the victims since the family has not yet been informed of the tragedy.
He added that authorities are still investigating what drove the individual to commit the horrible act.
The deceased was married to a police officer stationed in the county, according to the police chief.
Mr Kitavi further revealed that the man lived in Wang’uru town with his two children.
The man is said to have separated with the girl’s mother due to a domestic dispute.
“Investigations are ongoing on what might have caused him to commit the heinous act,” he said.
The bodies were taken to Kerugoya referral hospital awaiting postmortem.
