Manchester City Bukayo Saka interest as Liverpool too join the transfer race for the Arsenal inform player.

While Arsenal’s top priority is tying Bukayo Saka to a new deal this summer; many transfer interests for the Arsenal winger have now emerged.

Saka’s contract with the Emirates is set to expire in two years, with the club holding the option to extend it for another year if necessary.

Mikel Arteta and Edu, on the other hand, are still keen to sign Saka to a new contract at the Emirates, which indicates the club’s growing dependence on the 20-year-old.

Saka featured in all 38 Premier League games last season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists. 

However, with Arsenal missing out on Champions League participation, fears are growing that guaranteeing the England international’s future would be more difficult than expected.

Initial discussions over a new contract have already taken place and Arsenal are eager to avoid his deal running into the final two years where they may become more vulnerable to the ambitions of City and Liverpool.

But Arsenal are aware of the negative impact missing out on the Champions League may have on their attempts to tie Saka to improved terms. 

Manchester City are reportedly set to step up their interest in Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka this summer as they eye a future deal, although they will have to battle Liverpool for his signature.

A report from MailOnline has now reported that City are stepping up their interest, although no bid is planned for the current transfer window with both themselves and Liverpool prioritizing different areas.

However, the lack of top-tier European football has increased confidence from the leading duo that his contract situation will go unresolved beyond the summer.
