Martha Karua is not merciful like me, Uhuru warns corrupt politicians
Uhuru warns corrupt politicians of the Azimio running mate designate, Martha Karua her no-nonsense character.
Martha Karua, Raila’s running mate has received high appreciation from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Kenyatta noted that Karua is a dependable public worker whose no-nonsense demeanor makes her a suitable fit for the position of deputy president.
Speaking on Tuesday, July 12, in Embakasi, Uhuru claimed that Karua was a stickler for the law and would not waver in punishing politicians who were guilty of bribery and land grabbing.
The President was certain that Karua would work to see that politicians/officials suspected of embezzling from public funds endure the full force of the law.
“I know she will not be lying around watching as public lands are grabbed. They will be jailed. She is not lenient like me and I trust her to get the job done,” said Uhuru.
Uhuru rallied behind Azimio la Umoja Raila Odinga and his presidential candidate, stating that they were better poised to lead the nation.
“I am asking you please to vote for Raila. The peace we enjoy is a result of our efforts to put aside our political differences. I also applaud him because he chose to work with a woman of character, Martha Karua,” Uhuru stated.
Uhuru was addressing the residents after presiding over the official opening of Mwiki level 3 Hospital in the Kasarani constituency.
He also commissioned Mihang’o Hospital and presided over the issuance of title deeds at Muhuri Muchiri Stadium in Ruai.
Uhuru was accompanied by NMS Director-General Badi, Nairobi Governor Anne Kananu, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and former Nairobi county boss Mike Sonko.
