Miguna Miguna trashes Gachagua over police uniform change: “Focus and stop silly sideshow”
Miguna Miguna trashes Gachagua over his remarks to change police uniform if they win the August elections.
Exiled Lawyer Miguna Miguna has trashed Ruto’s running mate Rigathi Gachagua over his remarks on police uniform telling him to focus on more pressing needs.
Speaking in Nyandarua on Saturday during the county’s economic forum, Gachagua promised to revoke the blue police uniform if they form the next government.
He claimed that police officers are uncomfortable with their current blue uniform.
“You have suffered for so long while in the hands of Fred Matiang’i and Karanja Kibicho. Even the new blue uniform that you are all uncomfortable with will be revoked and we return to the old one. The blue one will be a preserve for the women’s guild in the PCEA church.”
However, Miguna Miguna who has been supporting Ruto and criticizing Raila slammed the Mathira lawmaker for the utterance.
Taking to his Twitter account, he called on Gachagua to focus on more pressing needs affecting Kenyans such as jobs, human rights, democracy, rule of law, electoral and social justice.
“Mr @rigathi: This is a silly sideshow. No one asked you to change the police uniform. Focus on the agendas of 50 million Kenyans – jobs, human rights, democracy, rule of law, electoral and social justice. If not, shut up,” Miguna tweeted.
