The Ministry of Health official X account was hacked on Sunday, September 1, allowing an unauthorized user to post content.
The hacker posted photos of Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni Muriuki and other officials, claiming that they were seeking support in a church fundraiser.
However, the Ministry of Health later flagged the post as fake.
“This post is fake. Disregard and desist from sharing false information,” MoH stated.
Reacting furiously on the same, the Health PS noted that she does not do fundraisers and will continue to serve the nation.
“Don’t waste your time hacking the ministry’s page. I don’t do harambee’s and I will continue working for this nation. Hey, get busy!” Muthoni remarked.

The Ministry acknowledged the attempts to hack the account, adding that it was working to resolve the matter.
“Attempts have been made to hack our X handle and post false information. Please disregard this and any unusual posts. We are working to resolve the issue,” MoH remarked.
On August 12, MoH warned Kenyans about an X account impersonating newly appointed Health CS Dr. Debra Barasa.
The Ministry disclosed that the X account, @Deborah_Mulongo, was falsely attributing itself to the Cabinet Secretary.
It confirmed that the official X account of Dr. Barasa is @deborabarasa, urging the public to follow the account for updates.
