Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu Friday released the 2022 form four KCSE national exam results.

According to the results, students who scored a mean grade of E in the 2022 KCSE exams decreased by 15,629 compared to 2021.

Ezekiel Machogu, the CS for Education, announced the results and noted that data shows 30,822 students received a grade E, down from 46,151 in the year 2021.

18,062 male candidates out of this total scored grade E as compared to 12,760 female candidates.

“Number of candidates with a mean of E declined to 3.49% from 5.56% in the previous year, Machugu said.

The number of candidates with D+ and above is 522, 588 (59.14%) compared to 53.29% in 2021.

At least 1,146 scored an A of which females were 271 while male students were 875 as compared to 1,138 in 2021.

The CS noted that out of the 881,416 candidates who sat the 2022 KCSE exam, 173,345 scored the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above compared to 145,776 in 2021.
