Mother arrested after killing 4-year-old son for soiling himself and dumping body at morgue.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detained two female suspects who were arrested following the murder of a four-year-old boy after he soiled himself.

The prime suspect in the murder is a woman believed to be the mother of the boy who the detectives revealed took the child’s corpse to Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary following the incident.

Adding to the mystery of the incident, the DCI revealed that after taking her son’s lifeless body to the hospital, the woman never returned to claim it for burial.

”The suspect (mother), while in the company of her friend, is reported to have taken the lifeless body of the child to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary on December 9, 2024, but failed to return after reporting the incident to the police as guided by the morgue officials,” DCI shared in a statement.

Following the incident, the two suspects switched off their phones, raising suspicion that led the facility mortician to report the incident at Mowlem Police Station.

Detectives drawn from Dandora, in collaboration with Crime Research & Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) hawkshaws drawn from the Nairobi area, swung into action where they established shocking details about the child’s final moments.

Investigations from the sleuths revealed that the alibi given by the mother of the child having died while asleep could not add up.

This was after it was found out that the minor had succumbed to injuries inflicted on him after an alleged incident where the boy had reportedly soiled himself.

”Whereas the suspect initially claimed that the child died while asleep, it was found that the minor had succumbed to injuries inflicted by his mother after an alleged incident, where the boy had reportedly soiled himself while answering the call of nature,” DCI added.

”Upon deeper interrogation, it was uncovered that the main suspect is the biological mother of the deceased child; a revelation that has added an even darker layer to the already heartbreaking case of the boy’s untimely death.”

As the detectives continued to piece together the details of the death, the suspect was detained, helping the sleuths unravel the full story behind the child’s tragic death.

DCI disclosed that they were doing everything possible to hold those responsible into account following the incident that happened in December last year.

”The pursuit of justice continues as we work tirelessly to understand the truth and hold those responsible accountable for their actions,” DCI added.
