Mudavadi calls out Azimio coalition over the IEBC whistleblower evidence on how August presidential results were manipulated.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi brushed off the Azimio Coalition’s allegations that President William Ruto would have won the general election in August 2022.

Speaking with the local media on Thursday, January 19, the Prime CS described the allegations as “hot air” and an attempt to seek relevance.

Mudavadi said that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission made the election results available for public inspection on the public portal.

In addition, he affirmed that the disputes in the election process were resolved through the petition lodged by members of the Azimio Coalition.

Additionally, he questioned why the coalition did not include the purported proof in their arguments before the Supreme Court in August 2022.

“The results were announced in accordance with the law, the results were in the portal for all members of the public to scrutinize and tally.

“The international community recognized how the election was open and fair. The people who were aggrieved had a chance to go to the Supreme Court which unanimously validated the results,” he stated.

Dennis Itumbi, a former digital strategist for the Kenya Kwanza campaign, refuted the accusations earlier on Thursday and asserted that the claimed whistleblower was a member of the Azimio campaign.

He asserted that Kioni’s identified whistleblower provided the Azimio Coalition with campaign advice.

“Vanguard Africa in regulatory documents filed in the USA and signed by Jeffrey Smith, confirm they offered Raila Campaign advise,” Itumbi stated.

Meanwhile, Azimio leaders led by Wiper Party Leader promised to give more information on the revelations from the IEBC insider after deliberations.
