Museveni’s Son Muhoozi revives onslaught on Kenya claiming the country can’t survive without Uganda.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the outspoken son of Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni, has renewed his assault on Kenya.

On Saturday, December 3, Muhoozi, a senior officer in the Ugandan army, argued on Twitter that Kenya can’t survive without its neighbor Uganda.

Muhoozi, who is not new to diplomatic controversy announced that he pitied Kenya terming it as his beloved third country.

As a result, the 48-year-old said in honour of the pivotal role Uganda plays to Kenya, it should rename Nairobi’s Westlands to Kololo.

“I feel sorry for my beloved 3rd Country…Kenya. Kenya cannot survive without us, Ugandans. Therefore, I forgive them all. Rename Westlands, where we lived, ‘Kololo’. In honour of Uganda,” said Mohoozi.

This is not the first time that Muhoozi is making controversial claims about the independence and sovereignty of Kenya.

“It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi,” Muhoozi remarked on October 8, 2022.

The Ugandan government later clarified Muhoozi’s statement stating that Kenya and Uganda enjoy cordial diplomatic relations.

“We do not conduct our affairs on social media and we assure Kenya that Kampala is committed to the long-standing good neighborliness that has existed for decades,” a statement from Uganda’s foreign ministry read in part.
