My race to State House unstoppable, Raila to Ruto on boycott claims

Raila responds to Ruto on boycott claims daring him for a political duel in the August general elections.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has dared Deputy President William Ruto to an epic political battle, saying his race to State House is unstoppable.

Raila Odinga was speaking on Monday, 11, July on his return to Narok county to consolidate the Maasai votes.

Raila responded to DP Ruto and his allies who alleged that the former prime minister had sensed defeat by threatening to boycott the polls.

He told Ruto to prepare for bruising campaigns, even as he dismissed claims that he is afraid of the elections.

“Ruto has been spending a lot of time talking about me, but what he says about me has no basis, but I am not his agemate,” he said.

“He keeps saying that we are afraid and we are threatening to boycott the polls because we have sensed defeat at the polls but I know we are going to win. Already, we are ahead with about 65 percent to 70 percent,” he stated.

“We are ready to face you on election day so that we can know who will emerge victorious. We are not afraid of you. Who are you so that you claim that we are afraid of facing you,” Odinga said in Narok.

“As team Azimio, we do not fear Kenya Kwanza. We are ready for the election and we will never relent. We spoke with IEBC and they assured us that all is set,” said Raila.

Raila told his supporters that he is more than prepared to face Ruto in the August 9 polls adding that he will deliver a resounding victory to them.

He said the coalition will have agents in all polling stations across the country.

Raila was accompanied by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina, Junet Mohamed, and Narok County Gubernatorial aspirant Moitalel Ole Kenta among others.
