The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has announced the passing of Kisii Governor Simba Arati's sister.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has announced the passing of Kisii Governor Simba Arati’s sister.
In a statement on Saturday evening, the party revealed that Arati’s sister, Isabella Arati, would be buried later today, August 10.
The funeral will be held in Isinya, Kajiado County, near the Entarakwet Hotel.
“We commiserate with our DPL Simba Arati following the loss of his sister Isabella Arati,” the statement read.
“Burial is scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday, 10/8) at her farm in Isinya, Kajiado County, next to Entarakwet Hotel. As a party, we stand with the Arati family during this period of grief.”
However, the party did not reveal the cause of Isabella’s death or when she passed away.
The statement by the party came just hours after several local ODM leaders visited Arati’s family ahead of the burial to pass their condolences on Saturday.
The grassroots team was led by Chairman Paul Momanyi Kabos and Hezbon Mochama, a youth leader from Kisii, who later mourned the governor’s sister on Facebook.
