The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has dispatched Kasmuel McOure to Brussels, Belgium, to represent the party at the European Parliament and other institutions.
In a statement via X on Sunday, September 14, McOure thanked ODM leader Raila Odinga and the European Union (EU) for the opportunity.
“I have just arrived in Brussels to represent The ODM party at the European Parliament and other key institutions.
“This opportunity comes courtesy of the European Union in Kenya and H.E. Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, who has always reminded us that excellence must be pursued relentlessly and without excuse,” read part of the statement.
McOure also said he looks forward to engaging with world leaders, learning international best practices that will help propel the ODM party.
“I look forward to engaging with world leaders, learning best practices, and bringing these insights back home to strengthen our mighty party,” he added.
This comes months after McOure went to the United States for the 2025 Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF).

In a statement on June 18, McOure said that he had been accepted into the fellowship programme under the Civic Engagement track.
“I am honoured to share that I have been accepted into the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship this year under the Civic Engagement track. I will be joining my dream institute, the Presidential Precinct, an institution that perfectly aligns with my work at the ODM Youth League and the broader youth movements I’m involved with across the country,” McOure said.
McOure came to the limelight during the nationwide anti-finance bill protests in June 2024.
He was among the youths who led the anti-finance bill movement both online and in the streets.
However, months after the protests, he sparked outrage after meeting with ODM leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill Office.
Responding to the backlash, McOure described his meeting with Raila as a proud moment, adding that the decision to meet the former Prime Minister was intentional.
In November 2024, McOure officially joined ODM, declaring that it is the only party that truly supports the people in East and Central Africa.
