In a statement on Friday, November 28, Gachagua said the DCP party, which is just 7 months old, whitewashed other established parties in the three by-elections.

“On behalf of the DCP and our members, I offer hearty congratulations to Hon. Douglas Masikonte, Hon. David Warui and Hon. Dickson Okwiri Aduda for winning the Narok Township, Kariobangi North and Kisa East wards, respectively.

“Our party, making the newest kid in the Block, which is seven months old, whitewashed old parties some old as twenty years,” said Gachagua.

The DCP party leader also thanked residents of Narok Township, Kariobangi North and Kisa East for exercising their democratic rights despite alleged intimidation and violent attacks.

“I salute them for rejecting voter bribery as an ingredient of our politics,” said the former Deputy President.

Further, Gachagua called on aspirants wishing to vie under the DCP party to continuously engage with the electorate.

“I urge all those who wish to vie for seats under our party to remain on the ground and continuously engage the electorate as they listen to them,” Gachagua added.
