In a rare occasion, a sick woman vomits dead rat in Nakuru with elders set to conduct a ritual.

After a middle-aged sick woman vomited a dead rat, panic erupted at Ndaragu community in Njoro, Nakuru County.

The mother of four who has been ill for more than a week claimed that in the incident on Wednesday, she began feeling queasy at midnight and then began vomiting.

She claimed that about 3 am, she felt what felt like an item trapped in her throat and forced it out. 

She then lit her lantern and discovered the dead rat in the basin.

Speaking to the media at the woman’s home, locals led by her father and the village elder said someone had publicly differed with the woman and is suspected to be behind the bizarre incident.

Following the incident, the woman went back to bed and she was still asleep as locals thronged the village in the morning after her father broke the news to neighbours.

Meanwhile, elders are expected to meet and conduct a ritual in the wake of the incident.
