Pogba slams Manchester United for not caring about him but fans call him ‘greedy overrated egomaniac’
Pogba slams Manchester United for not caring about him in his new documentary but fans can’t have it anymore.
France international Paul Pogba has slammed Manchester United in his new documentary, stating that the club ‘didn’t care’ about his feelings.
Pogba was shown in the documentary in his house with his lawyer, Rafaela Pimenta having a conversation with his late agent, Mino Raiola over a video call.
Pogba was in the final year of his contract at the Old Trafford club at the time, and it was clear that he was unhappy.
When speaking with his lawyer and agent about his future, the French midfielder accused the club of being unconcerned about his feelings.
The camera turns to Pogba chatting on his own about his views at the club after Raiola told him that the club ‘definitely’ wanted to keep him.
He said: “It’s all for the players, they have to feel important in their clubs. And they have to feel important in their teams. If you don’t have that, it’s over.”
Pogba was then asked what makes him happy.
He said: “To be in a project that I’m involved.”
“Here, I came back from injury, they didn’t help me, they didn’t care how I was feeling so I had to go to the national team to get my confidence back.”
However, prior to the documentary’s release, it was revealed that Pogba was handed an offer to be around £300,000 but branded it as ’nothing’.
”How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that,” he said.
Fans reaction
However, after the footage of their conversation was released, fans took to social media with some calling him a ‘greedy overrated egomaniac’.
One fan tweeted: “How is £300,000 a week nothing? People like Lewandowski don’t even collect that much. It is so annoying how greedy football players have become.”
Another fan said: “That’s why every real United fan is glad to see the back of the greedy overrated egomaniac.”
A third fan said: “The audacity to call 300k a week ‘nothing’, while he only had a handful of good performances just shows how far removed from reality he actually is.”
Pogba’s relationship with United fans has always been up and down but it seems like that relationship is now at a point of no return.
Over the two spells, Pogba made 233 appearances for United across all competitions, scoring 39 goals in total.
Pogba is expected to join Juventus when he officially leaves United.
