Prisoner Unleash Bees Inside Police Station in Attempted ‘Prison Escape’ at Kathiani Police Station, Machakos County.

A suspect accused of theft in Machakos unleashed bees at officers as he attempted to escape from police custody.

It was reported that the bees first attacked an officer who was opening the suspect’s cell on Wednesday, May 4, read the police report.

Prior to the incident, the prisoner sprayed waste on an officer named David Mambo who was handcuffing him, according to the police.

“The suspect spilled waste on him and immediately the bees started attacking the officers as the suspect tried to force his way out trying to escape but the officers persevered the bees and managed to handcuff the suspect.

The cops added that the four other officers who had rushed to the scene to rescue their colleague were taken to the Kathiani Level 4 hospital and are nursing bee stings.

The Machakos-based police officers indicated they will investigate the incident to unravel how bees managed to enter their cells without their knowledge.

“The suspect has also been given medication and is now in a cell at kathiani police station pending arraignment in court today,” read the police report.
