Protesters opposing the Finance Bill 2024 on Tuesday stormed the Timba XO club linked to Kapseret member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.
The protesters, in video clips captured from the incident, threw stones into the club located in Eldoret vandalising window panes.
They later attempted to break the gate before accessing the two-story facility that also houses a car wash.
According to reports, the protesters, who were in the town’s Central Business District, marched towards the club where they vandalised and made away with some of its properties.
Police responded swiftly but by the time they arrived, property of unknown value was already damaged and stolen.
The club was opened in May and is valued at millions of shillings.
Sudi, who supported the controversial Finance Bill 2024, expressed his support for the protesters to hit the streets peacefully and voice their opinions.

In an address on Sunday, he advised the Presidency to listen to the protesters.
Sudi, at the time, noted that he had held discussions with President William Ruto to pay attention to their concerns and include them in the Finance Bill and budget-making processes.
“I laud the determination and zeal demonstrated by the youthful Gen-Z. Going forward, the current leadership must incorporate their concerns in making major decisions. This is truly an awakening moment for our youth in their journey to self-realization,” he stated.
Separately, Nyeri residents stormed and looted Chieni supermarket linked to area MP Njoroge Wainaina after differing with him over his stance on the bill.
The residents were videographer rushing into the supermarket and stealing household items such as bails of maize and wheat flour, litres of cooking oil, and sugar among others. Police officers’ attempt to bar the looters were futile.
