Public Service Commission (PSC) announces 8000 internship positions for the Financial Year 2023/2024

Public Service Commission (PSC) announces 8000 internship positions for the Financial Year 2023/2024.

In a Public Announcement on Tuesday, PSC said the recruitment of interns is for government ministries, departments, and agencies.

The interns will be under the Public Service Internship Programme Cohort 6 for the Financial Year 2023/2024.

“Public Service Commission is pleased to announce the recruitment of 8000 interns under the Public Service Internship Programme Cohort 6,” they said.

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, graduated not earlier than 2017, and be proficient in computer skills.

The internship will be strictly for one year, and successful applicants will be set to receive a stipend as determined by the Government.

“The interns will be paid a stipend at a rate determined by the government. On successful completion of the internship program they will be awarded certificates,” PSC said.

“Interested applicants are requested to make their applications through the commission’s job portal.”

Applicants are expected to submit their applications by August 14, 2023.

Those interested in the internship programme are expected to apply through the Commission’s job portal, www.publicservice.go.ke, or www.psckjobs.go.ke website. 

Upon completion, the interns will be awarded a certificate.

The announcement comes days after President William Ruto reiterated his campaign promises to create employment for Kenya’s youth amid high unemployment rates in the country.
