Raila accuses Ruto of stoking fear among electorates; tells him to Prepare for a humiliating defeat in the August polls.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has warned DP Ruto and his brigade that a political tsunami on August 9 polls.

Speaking on Sunday, 1, August, during Azimio campaigns at the Huruma grounds in Eldoret Raila said the August 2022 polls will be a choice between liberation and continuity of corruption.

He said that Kenya is now ripe for a revolution that would transform the country’s economy towards prosperity.

“I said long ago that there was a tsunami coming but they said I was lying. It’s now just a few days left,” said Raila

He reiterated that Ruto must disqualify his running mate Rigathi Gachagua whom he described as a convict.

“We are running against convicted thieves and they can not fool Kenyans anymore.”

“Our country is at crossroads. We must choose if we want liberation or continued corruption”, Raila said.

Raila also accused Ruto of stoking fear among electorates urging the Rift Valley residents to vote for anyone they want without intimidation or threats.

He assured the Eldoret residents that the Azimio government would take care of all Kenyans regardless of where they live.

Meanwhile, Raila’s running mate Martha Karua accused DP Ruto of lying that his life and that of his family were in danger.

She accused Ruto of causing panic in the country with unfounded allegations that some people had planned to hurt him and his family. 

“I know the Deputy President has more than 276 bodyguards, I pray that I will get that office next week, and if you feel any of your family members are in danger, assign one of your many guards to protect them.

“If they are still not enough ask for more security because you are still the Deputy President, don’t create tension in the country by lying that your family is in danger,” Karua said.
