Raila ahead of Ruto in another opinion poll with 47.5% and Ruto with 46.6% as the race to the August election gains momentum.

A new opinion poll released by Mizani Africa on Friday, June 10 shows Raila is ahead of Ruto in popularity.

The Mizani Africa poll indicated the Azimio presidential candidate has a 47.5% popularity with Ruto trailing with 46.6%.

According to the Mizani Africa data, Raila’s popularity is on an upward trajectory while that of the deputy president is on a downward trend.

Raila leads in six out of the eight regions namely; Coast, North Eastern, Nairobi, Nyanza, Western, and Eastern.

Ruto draws his major support from Central Kenya and Rift Valley regions.

The survey shows that Raila has maintained his traditional support bases despite Ruto making inroads into them with the intent of changing the trend in his (Ruto’s) favour.
