Public CS Moses Kuria family hosted by Raila Odinga for a reconciliation meeting at the ODM leader’s Karen home.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Sunday spent the better part of his afternoon at the home of Azimio Leader Raila Odinga and his wife Mama Ida Odinga in Karen.

During the event, Kuria who was accompanied by his mother Mama Teresia, and his wife Mama Joyce, gifted Raila a goat.

This was in a symbolic ceremony to bury the hatchet between them.

Kuria has previously made unpalatable statements against Raila and even ridiculed his presidential candidature in the past using savory remarks.

However, the visit which Kuria termed part of his public support for Raila’s African Union Commission chairperson job bid took place.

During the visit, Kuria expressed his support for Raila’s candidature for the position of African Union Commission Chair. Kuria and Raila are said to have shared perspectives on various AU initiatives including the Africa Continental Free Trade Area, Africa 50, Agenda 2063, and the ongoing conversation around converting the Kenya School of Government into the Africa School of Government as an AU Affiliate.

“In addition, I have lots of African experience. Visited 15 Presidents as Trade Minister as a special envoy for President Ruto on African integration. I have therefore downloaded my African and Global contacts to Baba to ensure his success for the AU Commission Chair. We made many calls to African and global leaders to lobby support.”
