Raila and Ruto in a Twitter war over Jacaranda Chaos, “Mr six months”
Raila and Ruto have engaged in a Twitter war over the Chaos witnessed at the Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi.
On Sunday, June 19, Deputy President William Ruto presided over the Kenya Kwanza Alliance rally at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi.
The meeting, however, was disrupted by chaos as his fans got into a shouting match with supporters of Raila Odinga over the of use the venue.
The venue was double booked as it emerged that Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was to hold a function at the venue.
However, he later canceled his function after tension increased between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza supporters.
“I had booked Jacaranda grounds for my function today and notified the police while Ruto booked the same venue on the same day but in 2021 as per their notification letter.I have full rights to use this ground today but let my People stay at home coz we love peace,” he urged.
Despite canceling his meeting, the warring groups engaged in running battles pelting stones at each other, an incident that left Embakasi East parliamentary seat aspirant Francis Mureithi and two others injured.
Following the mayhem, Raila and Ruto engaged in a Twitter spat with the DP Ruto accusing Raila of orchestrating the chaos.
“Mr. Kitendawili, the lord of violence, has done it again: Hired innocent, desperate, and jobless young people, victims of his sabotage of the big4 jobs plan, to shed innocent blood in his eternal quest for power.

What a shame on fathers day Mr father of violence. Freedom is coming August 9,” said Ruto.
But in a quick rejoinder, Raila told off Ruto, questioning him about how long will he blame everyone for everything that befalls him.
The Azimio presidential candidate said the DP was acting victim in order to get sympathy votes.
“Mr. Six months, for how long will you blame everyone for everything that befalls you. It’s not okay to be rudderless, clueless, and plan-less.
This country is slowly overcoming fraudsters and shortcuts that define your politics. Maliza uende. There is no room for sympathy votes,” said Raila.
