2 min readRaila Odinga has assured his supporters that the Supreme Court will annul the presidential results as declared by the IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati.
Leader of the Azimio Raila Odinga has expressed confidence that he will prevail in his Supreme Court petition contesting the election of President-elect William Ruto.
Mr. Odinga claimed that his legal team had solid proof that the results of the presidential election should be thrown out.
Mr. Odinga said the hunted animal will eventually die, using the image of a hunter spearing an antelope as an example.
“As I am speaking to you, I can feel the impact of unleashing the spear on the antelope in my arm. With a spear deep in its body, it will not survive,” he said.
“I don’t want to go into the details of the evidence we filed, that is before the judges now.”
He made the remarks after a surprise appearance at the swearing-in of Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o.
Azimio Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga filed his petition at the Supreme Court on Monday, saying they had watertight evidence to show how their August 9 “victory was stolen”.
Addressing a mammoth crowd that had escorted him and his allies from the Milimani Law Courts to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in the city centre, Raila Odinga said the truth will finally come out.
