Raila, Karua, and Kalonzo join Kioni at Jubilee headquarters as they condemn takeover attempts by Ruto’s led faction.

Azimio leaders; Raila Odinga, Martha Karua, and Kalonzo Musyoka have joined a Jubilee leadership faction led by Jeremiah Kioni to recapture the party headquarters at Dik Dik gardens.

Also present was DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa.

The Kioni team obtained a court order barring a faction led by Kanini Kega from assuming office until a case filed in court is determined.

Addressing the Media on Thursday, Kioni said the political parties’ dispute tribunal issued an order in favour of him and party vice chairman David Murathe.

“Interim decisions are issued restraining the Registrar of political parties staying the decision to the effect that Jubilee party NEC meeting was properly convened,” Kioni read out the orders.

He said only the party leader and the SG can call a NEC meeting.

“It is unfortunate that the registrar went ahead to say that the NEC meeting was legally convened,” he said.

“The police officers had the audacity to accompany individuals to an office with four land cruisers to our offices it is a shame.”

He said the many members of Jubilee who were within the compound on Wednesday were told not to resist, because “electoral and economic justice is not rested in a building but a spirit,” he said.

“We have enough members of Jubilee party who believe in that course those on auction can go to State House,” Kioni added.

“The Jubilee party that is in our hearts belongs to the Azimio and that is where we belong.”
