Azimio lawmaker Beatrice Elachi says Raila Odinga is aware politicians use him to get positions and ‘dump’ him later.

Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi asserts that many leaders many leaders are never serious about Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga becoming President.

Speaking during an interview with K24 on Thursday, Elachi said even after losing the elections, they always know Raila will come out to fight for a while then quit.

“Baba knows we play on him and he is aware that most of the time we are not serious about him becoming the president. We just use him for us to get our positions and after that we are done,” she said.

“At the moment he is on dialogue and that is it, we are finished.”

The Azimio member said that everyone believed Raila had the support of the government because of his support for the Former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She claimed that even after he lost the election, the majority of people did not believe the allegations of election fraud.

“Raila Odinga will forever carry this ‘burden’ of supporting the former president when he was finishing his term. That made everyone to believe all the support you had was from there,” Elachi said.

In addition, Elachi called on Azimio to focus on the next coming elections and that the government was way ahead of them in praparation for 2027.

“The government is already focusing on how they are heading to 2027 and so should Azimio,” she said.
