Raila says "ODM will not condone political infidelity" as cracks whimp on rebels

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has insisted that ODM party will not entertain political infidelity days after expelling rebel members

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has insisted that ODM party will not entertain political infidelity days after expelling rebel members.

Speaking in Migori on Friday, Raila said that loyalty and fidelity to a party are among the key reasons that make political parties grow.

He said going against party positions for cheap favours from those in power will not be welcome in the party.

“Loyalty, Fidelity and Love for one another are the three main reasons political parties grow… ODM shall not condone political infidelity in the name of some members seeking cheap political favours from those in power,” Raila said.

Raila’s remarks comes hours after he cracked the whip and expelled rebel MPs who are supporting the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The five ousted are Elisha Ochieng’ Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Tom Ojienda (Senator of Kisumu County) and Phelix Odiwuor Kodhe (Lang’ata).

The party also expelled four nominated MCAs from Kisumu county.

At the meeting are ODM grassroots leaders from across all the constituencies in Migori County.
