Raila’s ICT Guru George Njoroge for the forthcoming general elections

Raila’s ICT Guru George Njoroge, the man tasked to ensure non-interference with the results transmission for the Azimio camp.

The upcoming August general election is now down to technology, with the IEBC’s confirmation that it will rely on tech in voter identification and transmission of results.

Both camps of the leading political divide are now banking ICT experts to help them ascend to the presidency.

Raila’s Azimio camp has tapped on George Njoroge as its ICT chief on matters dealing with technology while Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza camp has former chief Jubilee party agent, Davies Chirchir on its side.

For the past two elections, 2013 and 2017, the issue of technology at IEBC has been contentious with Raila Odinga playing the victim.

Who is Raila’s ICT Guru George Njoroge

Raila Odinga has picked George Njoroge as its ICT chief to handle matters dealing with technology.

George Njoroge who boasts of experience in the ICT software industry is tasked with ensuring Azimio emerges victorious in the August general elections.

Njoroge is hailed as one of the first few Computer Forensic experts in Africa.

He holds an MBA in Global Business and a degree in ICT from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Mr. Njoroge is a member of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE).

He is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at East African Data Handlers.

Before East African data handlers, Njoroge held several positions in different capacities in companies such as Microsoft and IBM Partner Company, as well as AITEC Africa.

With the controversy surrounding the use of either the electronic or manual voter system by the IEBC, Mr. Njoroge has in the past interview argued that the decision will put 2.3 million votes in jeopardy who might miss out on voting.

“There are 1,111 non-connected polling centres, each stream is of 700 voters if each of the dark sites has one stream, a total of 777,700 voters if they have three, its approximately 2.3 million voters in dark sites we have no visibility of,” Njoroge recently told Nation.Africa.
