Kalonzo reveals Raila's next move after whistleblower rigging claims in the August presidential polls
Kalonzo reveals Raila’s next move after whistleblower rigging claims in the August presidential polls.
On January 19, the leader of the Wiper Party, Kalonzo Musyoka, declared that the Azimio Coalition would provide direction after Raila Odinga returned from his trip to South Africa regarding the alleged rigging evidence it had amassed.
The Azimio principal stated, in remarks made at a press conference in Nairobi, that the alliance had fresh proof that the August 2022 election, in which President William Ruto triumphed, had been rigged.
The Wiper leader also extolled the virtues of the informants who allegedly provided the information to his coalition, calling them patriots.
According to the former Vice President, the volunteers braved the risk of exposing the activities within the coalition for the interest of the nation.
“There are more revelations in our possession that will unearth the filth in the 2022 General Election. This was not an election but a sham.
“We want to commend the IEBC whistleblowers who now enjoy full protection under the law for bringing this to the public. These are the real heroes,” he stated.

Asked why the coalition failed to present the allegations during the petition against President William Ruto’s win, Kalonzo stated that the information was not available to the coalition at the time of filing.
“The data that we shared with Kenyans in regard to election outcome was not available to us when we filed the presidential petition in August last year,” he noted.
The statement by Kalonzo came a day after Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni alleged that a democracy crusader based in the United States provided evidence of massive manipulation of the polls.
Contrary to the official results announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on August 15, 2022, he claimed that the Azimio candidate won the election with more than eight million votes.
The accusations added another instance to the opposing factions’ conflicting positions adopted since the elections were announced.
