Hot 96 radio journalist Nick Odhiambo escapes unhurt after his car was involved in an accident on New Year’s Eve, leaving his car extensively damaged.
The veteran radio personality took to social media in the early hours of January 1, 2026, to share the shocking news with his fans and followers.
Odhiambo told fans that the crash was caused by fatigue, admitting he had been driving while exhausted at the time of the accident.
“Everything was going really well until I decided to drive while exhausted… seems like I might have to get another car soon. Goodbye my cute A5,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The front section of his car suffered major damage, though the popular presenter did not disclose the exact location where the accident occurred.
Despite the extensive damage to his vehicle, Odhiambo expressed relief that the incident could have been much worse.
He also penned an emotional message to his children, though he did not clarify whether they were in the car during the crash.

Nick Odhiambo has been a household name in Kenyan media for over 18 years, having started his career at Classic 105 in 2006.
He later moved to Radio Maisha before joining Hot 96 in 2021, where he co-hosts the breakfast show with veteran journalist Jeff Koinange.
Known for his commanding voice and captivating humor, Odhiambo has also appeared in local television shows such as ‘Auntie Boss’ and ‘The XYZ Show.’
Fans and colleagues flooded his social media with messages of concern and relief.
Many expressed gratitude that the accident was not more serious and wished him a speedy recovery.
