Ruto confronts Uhuru Kenyatta for backing Raila Odinga, and Igathe, “this is not your country”
Ruto confronts Uhuru Kenyatta for backing Raila Odinga’s presidential bid, and Igathe for Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
Deputy President William Ruto on Friday 17, June took his campaign rallies to the western region.
While speaking during a rally in Vihinga, Ruto unleashed tirades against the President over ‘his involvement in the August 9 General Election”.
DP Ruto confronted Uhuru Kenyatta for trying to impose people he termed as projects on the Kenyans.
“We will not allow you, you have tried to impose a puppet on Kenyans, a project of the deep state and the system. We will defeat your project Raila Odinga and defeat your puppet Igathe in Nairobi because the people of Kenya have decided that this is not your country,” Ruto said.
His remarks were referenced to Nairobi gubernatorial races where Uhuru is believed to favour Jubilee candidate Polycarp Igathe.
Igathe is running against Ruto’s UDA candidate, Johnston Sakaja whose bid has been challenged over his degree status.
The president is also supporting the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
