On Sunday, December 11, President William Ruto announced that the government will graduate students from the Global Hustler Academy during the Jamhuri Day celebrations.
The Global Hustler Academy is a Google product that provides participants with a free program.
Speaking at the start of the Jamhuri celebrations, the President stated that Google already knew there were hustlers in Kenya, which is why the project was launched.
“I am not the one who started this hustler academy. This is a Google Academy and it started before all these hustler issues came in. They already knew there is a hustler somewhere,” the President announced.

Furthermore, to qualify for the Academy, you have to be an entrepreneur with a business that has at least 2 full-time employees and has been operating for over 12 months.
Thirdly, your business should have a ready business plan created defining its product/service offering and should be looking to scale the business.
Finally, the training is aimed at businesses that have generated profit in the last 12 months or are 1-3 months away from breaking even.
