Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet goes after Governor Natembeya

President William Ruto’s long-time aide, Farouk Kibet, has taken on Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya for being anti-government.

Kibet accused Natembeya of politically intoxicating the Western Kenya region against President William Ruto and his administration.

Speaking in Malava constituency, Kakamega county on Friday, March 28, the president’s aide faulted the vocal Trans Nzoia governor for obstructing Ruto’s goodwill in developing the Western Kenya region.

He said he was at liberty to traverse the region despite the sentiments of Natembeya and his ilk.

“We want Malava and the larger Western Kenya to develop, Natembeya says I should not visit Malava. He is not in his right mind. How can you oppose development for our people?” Farouk posed.

The Trans Nzoia governor has lately been carrying himself as the alternative for the Western Kenya region away from the old order politicians.

Natembeya held that the likes of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Prime Cabinet Secretary had for long auctioned the community for their own gains.

Starting the Tawe Movement, the county boss resolved to champion the interests of the Luhya nation and bulldoze to the national politics table.

The first-timer in the Council of Governors has been hinting at running for presidency.
