Ruto’s supporter, Nicholas Waititu who organized the branding of DP’s KSh 100m campaign monster now says he’ll vote for Raila Odinga come Tuesday.
Nicholas Waititu, one of the youths who were behind the importing, customizing, and branding of a monster truck for William Ruto’s campaign has announced his decision to quit Ruto’s team.
Making the announcement on his Facebook page on Saturday, August 6, Nicholas Waititu said he decamped from UDA to Azimio La Umoja coalition after reflecting on his leadership principles.
He said he would wake up at 5 am on Tuesday 9, to vote for Raila Odinga as the next president of Kenya.
Waititu who has been Ruto’s supporter said he will vote for Raila Odinga because they had been conditioned to hate him for no apparent reason.
“I thought to myself what I want, am I really following what people say politics is about my interest, or is it about where my heart is?
“This is the Kenya that I believe in whereby each and everyone has an equal opportunity. The facts speak for themselves,” he said.
He described Raila as a reformist who sacrificed a lot for the country, adding Raila’s presidency will be a game changer, especially in the Mt Kenya region.
The Mt. Kenya curse will cease with Raila’s presidency. He claims that while growing up, they were constantly informed that Raila was a bad person, but after going to school and making friends there, he realized this was untrue.
He added that the plague that afflicts the Mt. Kenya region will vanish if Raila holds the presidency for five years, and he will debunk the myths that Kenyans are constantly fed about the Luo population.
He even gave his life so that I and you live a better and more decent life, Raila brought freedom of speech,” said Waititu.
He brought a new constitution and he also championed for devolved government system,” he said,” added Waititu.
Waititu, who worked in the office of nominated senator Isaac Mwaura said his sudden change of interest has not affected their working relationship
“I am also a leader and a politician, I want to start branding myself. We are good, we still work together,” he said.
