The telecommunications service provider expressed gratitude to its customers for their patience during the recent service incident.

In a statement, Safaricom said, “Thank you for your patience as we fixed the M-PESA service interruption recently. Please enjoy some cashback as a token of our gratitude. We appreciate you.”

The interruption affected MPesa services for several hours on Tuesday, impacting transactions conducted through the M-Pesa app, USSD code, and SIM card tool. This disruption had caused inconveniences for businesses and customers alike.

Safaricom had attributed the service disruption to scheduled maintenance, and the company took swift action to resolve the issue.
