Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale slams Governor Fernandes Barasa after goons attacked Mumias East MP Peter Salasya on Sunday.
Speaking on Monday, November 13, Khalwale said the Kakamega Governor should allow other politicians to speak their minds during events.
“Barasa because you hold the highest office in the county you cannot decide who will talk during events and what will be spoken. You discuss matters of the upper office, and let those in the lower offices discuss their matters separately. If someone speaks falsehood, wait for them to finish, then refute it with the truth,” said Khalwale.
Senator Khalwale added that Salasya remarks on the Mumias Sugar Company were right.
He called on Governor Barasa to stop opposing the changes being made for the prosperity of Mumias Sugar Company.

Khalwale further asked police officers to stop involving themselves in Governor Barasa’s politics with his opponents.
This comes after MP Salasya was on Sunday roughed attacked by goons during a church fundraising event after he claimed that Governor Barasa was not working on the revival of Mumias Sugar Company.
Salasya was whisked away to safety by his security detail after the scuffle that brought the fundraising to a standstill.
“The goons of this Governor of Kakamega Fernandes Barasa attacked me so innocently while addressing residents of Mumias West, but thank you my tight security for ensuring no one moves closer to me to attack me,” said Salasya after the incident.
