Senator Ledama Ole Kina and Governor Ntutu clash in church service in presence of President Ruto

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu and Senator Ledama Ole Kina on Sunday clashed during an Interdenominational Prayer Service attended by President Ruto

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu and Senator Ledama Ole Kina on Sunday clashed during an Interdenominational Prayer Service attended by President Ruto.

The two leaders went at each other over skirmishes triggered by disagreements over a contentious piece of land within Kilgoris.

According to Ole Kina, the border dispute between Uasin Gishu County and Narok had calmed down owing to the deployment of security forces two weeks before the President’s visit.

However, Ntutu claimed that the matter was in the process of being resolved by the county government without the Senator’s knowledge as this was his first time mentioning the land.

“The small matter you heard the Senator speak about between Uasin Gishu and Siria we have intervened as the County Government, and it is not true that it has been calm only because you have come here, we have many programs to solve the matter,” stated Ntutu.

He further challenged the Narok senator, to visit the area often and leave Nairobi to learn about the history of the border in contention.

“My request would be to you Ledama to come and learn the history of this land, so that you don’t just complain without enough information as this is the first time you have mentioned it, come from Nairobi even when you are wearing that Shuka and we can discuss the matter stated Ntutu.

The Governor, noted that the Senator was oblivious and out of touch with the matter, hence denying him the right to speak on it.

Away from Narok politics, Senator Ole Kina also criticized Governors, stating that they were lining their own pockets instead of developing their counties.

He castigated the national government as well for failing to increase the capitation to the County governments noting that development within the counties was failing over it.

In a separate event at Kapsabet Boys High School Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua noted that he would take action against hecklers who have been disrupting President William Ruto’s meetings of late.

He noted that he would summon all the leaders involved in the heckling to chart the way forward and avert any similar incidences in the future.
