About ten people swept away after a lorry plunges into Muswii River in Makueni County.
A lorry sand with tens of people onboard has been swept by floods at the Muswii River at Sultan Hamud, Kilome Sub County towards the Ngoto area in Makueni County.
Some of them were rescued while others are feared dead.
According to reports, the driver of the lorry was being aided by two men on both sides while crossing the river.
But while almost nearing the middle of the stretch, the vehicle seemed to have been overwhelmed by the flooding waters which plunged it into the river.

Around 20 people and some children had boarded the lorry, Gabriel Ngonyo an eye witness said.
About 4 people were rescued while six others were still on top of the lorry awaiting rescue by the time of going to press.
