Police officers at Ololulunga police station in Narok South sub-county are investigating an incident where a mother suspected to be mentally challenged has allegedly killed her one-year-old daughter on Saturday night.
According to a police report, officers got the information on the disturbing incident from villagers who had already transported the body to Ololulunga Sub County hospital mortuary.
Police officers from Ololulunga police station, led by the OCS and DCI team from Narok South Sub County, visited the hospital and established that the girl’s body had sustained visible cut wounds on the back and the head.

The body has been transferred to Longisa sub-County hospital mortuary in Bomet County, awaiting autopsy.
The suspect is said to have also seriously assaulted her grandmother Alice Mutai who was treated at Ololulunga Sub County hospital and referred to Narok County referral hospital for further treatment.
Members of the public led by the village elder escorted the suspect to the station where she was booked into a cell awaiting further police action before her arraignment.
